Sophie Riviere
Sophie Riviere is a pianist, piano teacher, and composer from the island of Noirmoutier in France.
Lulled throughout her childhood by the world of sailors and the sea, she began playing the piano at a very young age, encouraged by her father, a long-distance merchant marine captain who was passionate about music.
Deeply inspired by the world of sailors, her compositions reflect the sea and her island, setting childhood memories to music with sweet nostalgia. Through her music, she aims to raise awareness about preserving the oceans and nature. Her work has been featured in video clips produced by the tourism office, further showcasing her deep connection to her island and its landscapes.
Playing the piano outdoors with her rolling piano, whether on the beach or in the salt marshes, in symbiosis with nature, is her passion.
