Roman Nagel is a neo-classical composer and pianist who paints emotional landscapes through his music, sometimes quiet and fragile, sometimes rhythmic and powerful. His compositions move between melancholy and clarity, between structure and freedom.
He sees the piano as a storyteller. Each composition grows out of a feeling, a movement, a moment of inner resonance. The result is music that is not only heard, but felt, oscillating between minimalism and intensity, leaving space for every shade of emotion.
In his current project “The Waltz Diaries” Roman Nagel explores waltz-inspired pieces – musical miniatures that circle within themselves like memories. Each waltz reveals a different facet of life: gentle and dreamlike, dark and urgent or light and fleeting. It is a collection of moments in motion. A tribute to the dance of life itself.
